New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Announces Climate-Resilient Farming Grant Opportunity

The New York Department of Agriculture and Markets announces a funding opportunity for New York State Soil and Water Conservation Districts to complete projects that mitigate agriculture’s impact on climate change. The funds can also be used for projects that enhance on-farm adaptation and resiliency to increased climate change effects. Applications must fall into one of the following categories:

Track 1: Livestock Management: Alternative Waste Management and Precision Feed Management;
Track 2: Adaptation and Resiliency;
Track 3: Healthy Soils NY (Systems and BMPs that support soil health and agroforestry);
Track 4: Agricultural Forest Management.

The deadline for submitting proposals is by 5:00 pm local time on November 17, 2025 by a New York State Soil and Water Conservation District on the State Committee’s SharePoint site to be considered for funding.
